Supporting BRiDGES

Dear Friend:

The words at the top of this letter describe what BRiDGES does best - provide hope to individuals struggling with alcohol, tobacco or drug use; strengthen families through prevention and education programs; and build healthy communities in collaboration with others. We look around the community and feel extremely proud of what we have accomplished in the past 32 years, and we know that there is so much more to be done. People are coming to us for assistance with a complex array of needs. We need your help to better serve them. We need your generosity.

BRiDGES is dedicated to helping individuals, families and workplaces achieve wellbeing through a variety of means. We recognize that a healthy, productive and safe community benefits all who live here. We know that we cannot do it alone which is why we value our partnerships with others in the community.

We do not often ask the community for financial contributions, but we are being asked to address needs in the community that are not adequately resourced. This includes suicide prevention and support for those in the LGBTQ community.

There are many ways to give. Some give of their time and talents, and other’s generosity is demonstrated through a tax-deductible contribution. We are asking you to consider a contribution which will be used to support and expand our work in the community.

  • Expand our school and community-based prevention programming

  • Expand training, community awareness and educational opportunities for parents, professionals and community members

  • Promote community involvement in community solutions

The Board of Directors and Staff thank you for your consideration of our request.

Tracy Carman

Secretary, Board of Directors
